SIP calculator
A SIP (systematic investment plan) puts the same amount into an investment every month. This calculator shows what that habit could grow to if the investment earned a steady yearly return you assume.
This is an illustrative scenario based on the numbers you entered. It is not a forecast and not a recommendation.
How it works
Each monthly amount is assumed to be invested at the start of the month and to grow at the assumed annual return divided by 12. The estimated value is the sum of all those growing instalments. Real investments do not return a steady rate: values move up and down, and the result can be lower than the amount invested. Use several different rates to see a range of scenarios rather than one answer.
Common questions
Does a higher expected return mean a better plan?
No. A higher assumed return is only a different scenario. Higher historical returns have usually come with larger swings and a larger chance of losses.
Is the result a prediction?
No. It is arithmetic on the numbers you typed. It ignores fees, taxes and changes in the market.
